Frequently asked questions
About the PDF Splitter
Sometimes you only need three pages from a hundred-page PDF. The PDF Splitter extracts exactly the pages you specify into a new, smaller document.
It runs in your browser, so the source document stays on your device.
How to use it
- Upload the PDF you want to take pages from.
- Type the pages you need, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10.
- Download the new PDF containing only those pages.
Common uses
- Sending a single signed page rather than a whole contract.
- Pulling one chapter out of a long report or ebook.
- Removing unwanted pages by extracting everything except them.
Tips for better results
- Ranges use a dash and individual pages are separated by commas. Spaces are fine.
- Pages always appear in the output in their original order, and duplicates are ignored. To reorder pages, merge the pieces with the PDF Merger.
- Combine with the PDF Merger to rebuild a document from several sources.
Good to know
- Page numbers refer to the position in the PDF, not to any printed page numbers on the pages themselves.
- Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.
